Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using CyprusSound.com ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Platform is operated by Backlight Media, registered in Limassol, Cyprus. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Accounts

Account creation is done via magic link email authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the email address associated with your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account or claiming a profile.

3. User-Generated Content

You may submit content to the Platform including gig listings, artist profiles, venue information, and bio text. By submitting content, you grant CyprusSound a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform and associated social media channels.

You retain all intellectual property rights to your content. You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

4. Profile Claiming

Artists, venues, and festivals may claim their profiles on the Platform via an invitation link. By claiming a profile, you confirm that you are authorized to represent that entity. CyprusSound reserves the right to revoke claimed profiles if authorization cannot be verified.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without permission

6. Gig Listings

Gig listings are provided for informational purposes. CyprusSound does not guarantee the accuracy of event details including dates, times, prices, or venue information. Users should verify event details with the venue or artist directly.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Backlight Media shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months (if any).

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@backlight.media.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Limassol, Cyprus.
